named CCHA Player of the Week

CCHA Offensive Player of the Week.

Lake Superior State sophomore forward Rick Schofield was named Central
Collegiate Hockey Association Offensive Player of the Week after
totaling five points during last weekend's series split at Bowling
Green.
Schofield (Pickering, Ont.) scored a power-play goal at 13:14 of
the third period during LSSU's 4-3 loss on Friday. During Saturday's
8-4 victory, the 6-2, 194-pound forward scored his first goal during
a five-on-three power play at 16:04 of the first period. He tallied
another goal 27 seconds later during a five-on-four advantage. He
later assisted on goals by Kyle Pobur and Will Acton. Schofield
has seven goals and three assists in the Lakers' last eight games.
For the season he has 8-8-16.
The CCHA also named Northern Michigan's Erik Gustafsson Defenseman
of the Week and Western Michigan's Riley Gill Goaltender of the
Week and Greg Squires Rookie of the Week.
